Tolkien's books, especially The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, widely confirmed in various polls to be the most popular work of fiction of the last hundred years, means that their hotly anticipated arrival into the digital publishing arena marks another major milestone, both for Tolkien's works and for HarperCollins, his exclusive book publisher. The first three titles, The Hobbit, The Lord of the Rings (available in its three parts - The Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers and The Return of the King, and as a complete version) and The Children of Húrin will be released on 20 April, shortly followed by The Legend of Sigurd and Gudrún (simultaneous publication with the hardback), The Silmarillion and Unfinished Tales on 5 May, with further titles later in the year.
